What's your story?
I'm a writer from Cleveland, Ohio. Since graduating high school, I thought I was wandering around the world. Turns out, I've been on an amazing path to discovering the place where I was meant to be.
What is your favorite place?
I love traveling, and when I first began this project I thought that would be the focus. But lately, I've realized that traveling is a lot about who you travel with. I love traveling with friends or visiting family. I love going home.
Why do you bring cloth bags?
Because plastic bags are the devil and I would rather not go to the grocery store than go and have to use plastic bags. This all started for me in college when at the end of the year my roommates and I had collected a closet full of bags that we had to make multiple trips to the local store to recycle them. It was ridiculous and disgusting and I'm not a fan.
Why did you start a website?
I am the last person I ever thought would start a website, but last summer I was lamenting with a friend about how I couldn't find my passion, and she suggested that I start a website. Eight months later, here we are.
why are you vegetarian?
I've been a picky eater since childhood, and I'm sure we went on a field trip to a farm where I connected those cute piggies to the pigs in blankets. My fate was sealed. But more important, I don't like labels.
Were you named after a cheese?
No, obviously. I was named after Greer Garson, a majorly talented and beautiful film actress from the 1940s and 1950s, who for some sad reason is not known by many people in my generation. She was nominated for seven Oscars! (She won one.) I will never understand, but I will tell everyone to watch Mrs. Miniver.
